Thank you for sharing your kids with us! We have had an amazing first week! Each Friday, we will send home a newsletter to parents/guardians. Have a great weekend!

Husky 4 A's Information

At Moreland Ridge, we have an incentive for students each semester to have good attendance (95% or better), attitude (No ISD, OSS or bus suspensions), academics (no D's or F's) and be involved in at least one activity/club.

First semester the incentive trip is to Main Event. More information will be out after grades are finalized first semester on who qualifies, date, etc.

Student Devices

Student devices and chargers were sent home this week. A good habit to get into is charging the device each night and bringing a fully charged device to school. Please help your student set a good habit to charge the device each night.

Chargers are not part of the insurance. 7th and 8th grade chargers are $40 to replace and 6th grade chargers are $90 to replace. If devices are fully charged at home, students should not need to bring a charger to school.

Club Information

MRMS StuCo:

Student Council is a group of students who work together to plan for opportunities/experiences to help our school. STUCO meets once a month at 7:15am to help StuCo leadership plan assemblies, spirit weeks, fundraisers or school concerns.
Applications are available in room 814 or the front office. Applications are due September 29.

She Leads the Pack:

6th-8th grade girls
Meet Wednesdays from 2:50-3:50pm
Informational meeting on September 2nd during PACK
After-school sisterhood is more than just a club, it's a place where middle school girls come together to unite as one "PACK."
In our club, you will: Grow your confidence and leadership skills, learn how to lift each other up and face challengers together, make an impact by serving your community and feel seen, supported and like you truly belong.

Husky Minds in Motion:

Math and Vocabulary Fluency Club
Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 3:50pm in room 708.
Why join? Build math fluency, strengthen vocabulary, practice strategy and probability, improve communication and gain confidence through play.

Sphero Robotics Team:

Interested in joining the MRMS Robotics Team? Get an application from Mr. Noud in room 401.

Cooking Club:

Virtual Club on TEAMS
Meet Tuesdays at 4:30pm on Sept 15, 29; Oct 6 and 20; Nov 3 and 10; Dec 1, 8 and 23
Deadline to register is Friday, Sept 11

Math Magicians Club:

Discover how math is connected to the world around you. In Math Magicians, members will explore patterns, relationships and problem-solving strategies through activities, hands-on challenges and games. Whether you enjoy puzzles, teamwork or creative problem-solving, this club offers an exciting way to experience math beyond the classroom.

Meet after school until 3:50pm in room 703
Meeting dates: Sept 8, 15, 22, 29; Oct 6, 13, 20,27; Nov 1, 17 and December 1, 8 and 15

Diversity Club:

Join Diversity Club where everyone belongs! Grab a flyer outside room 812 or in the front office.
Meets every day during PACK

Chess Club:

All levels of experience are welcome!
