Husky Polar Days to Benefit Special Olympics

What is the Polar Plunge?

This "unbearable" event is a unique opportunity to show your bravery as you support local Special Olympics athletes, including our very own MRMS athletes, by walking, running or crawling into the frigid winter waters that Missouri has to offer.

Ways for MRMS to Support:

Assistant Principal Jar:
  • One of the MRMS Assistant Principals will participate in the Plunge...which one? That's up to the students!
  • Jan 20-23 in the Cafeteria will be three money collection jars-one for each assistant principal.
  • The principal with the most money collected will take the plunge in the frozen lake on Jan 31!
Ice Cream at Lunch:
  • Ice cream will be sold at lunch during the week for $2 each, until supplies run out.
Spirit Week:
  • Participate in Spirit Days to build excitement for the event:
  • Tuesday: Winter Sports Day
  • Wednesday: Penguin vs. Polar Bear
  • Thursday: Winter Family Photo Day
  • Friday: Husky Spirit Day

Reminder: No School

There is no school on Monday, January 19 in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
