4 A's Field Trip

First semester 4 A's information:

  • When: Friday, January 30

  • Invitations, permission slips and more details will be coming next week. Be on the lookout for them!
 

8th Grade Families: A Note from Counseling

Blue Springs South Counselors will be coming to Moreland on Friday, January 16th to present to 8th grade students about enrollment for next year. The high school counselors will present in each social studies class. Students will receive their enrollment forms and a high school coursebook at this time. Enrollment forms are due to back to students' social studies teacher by February 2nd. Enrollment for 6th and 7th graders will be later this semester.

Curriculum Night for incoming high schools will be held on January 21st at 6:00pm in the Blue Springs South PAC. This is open to all current 8th grade students and families.

Club Opportunities

Cooking Club:

Cooking Club is taking applications now from 6th, 7th & 8th graders. Cooking Club meets virtually on Teams on Thursday afternoons starting January 15 at 4:30pm.   
   
We will make things like stacked enchiladas, pizza dip, sheet pan pancakes, breakfast pizza and many more delicious recipes.  
   
The QR Code for the Cooking Club application can be found in your grade level commons. Applications will be accepted until January 14. If you were already a member of Cooking Club last semester please make sure to reapply for this semester. 

Crochet Club:

All 6th-8th grade students are invited to join our Crochet Club after school on Thursdays until 4:00 PM! 

Whether you’re brand-new to crocheting or already a pro with the yarn, come hang out, learn something fun, and create amazing projects with friends. 

Pick up a permission form from Ms. Metge in Room 710 to submit before our first meeting on Thursday, January 15th after school! 

Can’t wait to see all the creativity you bring - Let’s get hooked on crocheting! 

Basketball Intramurals:

What: Intramural Basketball:
When: Monday February 2nd- Friday February 27
Who: Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student interested in basketball
Time: 7:00AM- 7:40AM
Where: North and South Gym

This will be an open gym format where students can work on individual skills or compete in basketball games against other students of their age and skill.
See Dr. Stephens in room #802 for a permission slip. You must have a signed permission slip to attend.
