  • Congratulations to everyone who earned the Selfie Stick on top of your regular prizes! If you forgot your packet today, don’t worry. A Major Saver Rep will be here until next Tuesday collecting orders. Don’t forget about the LIMO RIDE. Every student that sells 10 cards will win a LIMO RIDE and a PIZZA PARTY! Many have already earned it and several of you are very close!

  • 8th grade panoramic picture is this Friday, January 17th during PACK!  If you will be ordering a picture, please bring your order form and payment with you on picture day and give to the photographer.  You may also order online at mylifetouch.com (Picture Day ID: KM019018T0), but you will need to bring the order form with the payment code on picture day to give to the photographer.

  • The Husky Boys B team defeated the Grandview Bulldogs last night 38 - 18. Darion Jones and Alex Avondet each scored 11 points to lead the Huskies. Matthew Worth-Anderson scored 6 points. Kai Lewis had 5 points and Mason Ward had 4 points.

  • Wednesday night, the Girls A team took on the Grandview Bulldogs and got back on the winning side with a 42-24 victory. The girls were led by Lexi “Dropstep” Maring with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists. Jaylie “Lights Out” Giles put in 11 points and had 3 rebounds. Emma “Electric” Eagleson scored 7 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Caroline “Crossover” Eidson added 5 points. Taylor “High Points” Cobbins contributed 4 points and 3 steals and Alexis “Queen of the Boards” Alexander had 2 points and 6 rebounds. The girls play their last regular season game Thursday against the Paul Kinder Grizzlies. 

  • The B team girls defeated the Grandview Bulldogs last night 18-6. Rowan Butt had 4 points and 2 rebounds. Jessica Hutchinson had 4 points. Addison Kahler had 4 points. Norah Durkin and Reghan Martinez had 2 points each. Ebony Hall had 2 points and 3 rebounds.

  • Congratulations to 8th grader Ryan Schaefer who is Moreland Ridge's Geography Bee champion!

  • Oh Huskies! Do you know what time it is? It is time to grab your money and headphones and put your favorite play list on repeat because headphone day is this Friday!

  • 2nd semester Chess Club will begin Wednesday, January 29th! Come to room 809 to get a registration form! Chess Club meets on Wednesdays from 2:45-3:30 p.m. Join us and enjoy learning and playing chess with coaches from Kansas City Chess Club.

  • Hello Project LIT Book Club Community! We will have our first meeting of 2nd semester on Wednesday, January 22nd. Would you like to join Project LIT book club for 2nd semester? If so, please stop by the LMC and pick up a permission form and return it to Mrs. Pennington by our first meeting. Returning members of Project LIT do NOT need a new permission form. See you all on January 22nd to kick off the new year!!

  • BSSD Poetry Contest--The Blue Springs School District Poetry Contest, Artistic Expression of the Mind, will be held again this spring.  Entries are due to Sonya Gough at Delta Woods Middle School by 3:00 p.m. on March 4, 2020.  Winners will receive their awards and read their poems at a public reading at the Bartow Administrative Center on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
